For the second season, Kripke and Ryan also decided to double the amount of untold history close to the one from season one, but this time going further into different creators of history. Apparently, both of them are fine with the shorter episode order, mostly because they are well aware how hard it is to do such series in 22 episodes. Season two will have only 10 episodes, but it will feature a more compact story. Furthermore, rather than a science fiction drama, this season will be much closer to a historical adventure. The producers also revealed that the production is relocating to California, where they will receive a tax credit from the state. Of course, ‘Timeless’ isn’t the only show relocating to California under the commission’s Program 2.0. 


Season two is supposed to employ around 250 cast, 220 crew, and 3000 extras. Looking ahead, Garcia Flynn (Goran Visnjic) and the unexpected trio will face a common enemy which will make things even more complicated. Like most of today’s scripted TV, season 2 might be influenced by the current political state of the country. The one thing that’s sure, we’ll hear some of the stories that they were unable to tell in season one, most of which are positive, really inclusive stories about history that have made this country so glorious.
