Goran Visnjic is a well known American film and television actor, who apart from acting has also succeeded as a producer as well. Millions of fans worldwide know him as Dr. Luka Kovac from the mega popular television series "ER", directed by Michael Crichton, which was broadcast not only in the United States, but across the world. The NBC central entertainment channel aired this TV Series for many years. In addition to this role, his list of roles includes some famous films like "Welcome to Sarajevo," "Madly faithful wife", "Hypnotized", "Long gloomy night", "Elektra" and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."

As one of America’s most popular actors, Visnjic conquered the hearts of millions of women around the world. He was born is a small town on the Adriatic coast called Sibenik on September 9, 1972, at a time when Croatia was still part of Yugoslavia. His family was never rich and belonged to the middle class. The head of the family, his father Zeljko Visnjic, many years worked as a bus driver, and the actor’s mother worked as a sales clerk in a small grocery store. Nevertheless, they were able to provide for their two sons, Goran and his younger brother, Josko. In fact, when he remembers his childhood, he has nothing but good memories. That is probably one of the reasons why this actor is so generous and strives to make this world a better place by helping not just to humans, but animals as well.

During the summer of 2005, Goran Visnjic got an interesting phone call from his manager, saying that he has been asked to audition for the role of James Bond. Without hesitating, he accepted the offer and auditioned for the role, entering the race and becoming one of the four finalists. In the end, the role was given to the British actor Daniel Craig, but nevertheless getting to the final four was still a huge success. Today, this talented actor and his family live in Los Angeles, but they also own a house in his native Croatia.
