Goran Visnjic in the Popular Millennium Trilogy

Goran Visnjic, the popular Hollywood actor with Croatian roots has signed the contract for performing in the American film version of the Swedish bestselling masterpiece by Stieg Larrson, the “Millennium” trilogy. As sources reveal, in the trilogy, Goran Visnjic will play the boss of the heroine Lisbeth Salander, Dragan Armenian. As already announced, the director of the so far known first part of the trilogy, “Men Who Hate Women”, will be no other but the famous David Fincher who stands behind “The Social Network”, “Seven” and other successful movies, while the music is written by Trent Reznor. The film is produced by Sony Pictures.

The first part of the trilogy, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo processing the literary hit Stieg Larsson, who in the original translation was called Men Who Hate Women, is scheduled to appear on December 21. Apparently the role of Goran Visnjic extends in all three sequels, and he will star alongside Daniel Craig, who will play the role of journalist Mikael Blomkvist, and Rooney Mara who plays Lisbeth Salander. Beside them in the trilogy also appear Robin Wright as Erika Berger, Christopher Plummer as Henrik Vanger and Stellan Skarsgard as Martin Vanger.

When the Croatian actor Goran Visnjic was asked to share his impressions about the sharing sets with David Fincher, he says that Fincher is probably the great professional that he has ever met. In fact, Goran Visnjic enjoyed being on the set with David so much that he insisted on staying and watching the others do their part, even when his part was completely finished.

Fincher is a really cool guy, and he always manages to bring something special to the set and inspire others to give and do their best, even if it has to be filmed for the 100th time, says Goran Visnjic. It was an exciting set to which I’m really looking to come back. The American audience probably best remembers Goran as Doctor Luka Kovac, who replaced George Clooney in the hit series “ER”.
